well, obviously the bureaucracy were part of the state apparatus. I think you put it well, it was the capitalists influence and power increasing in all sorts of ways due to the climate created by Stalin's policies. I believe he even discussed denationalisation of the land in 1927. He did also warn of the kulak danger himself, but for him it was just words, his actions speak louder.

Yeah definitely, not just the party but the whole state apparatus.

Yeah Trots and Stalinists do work together to some extent but the Stalinists tend to be more reformist. However we cant whitewash history for the sake of unity as some on here suggest, it would be like denying the holocaust to keep Germans happy. The other problem is that the Trots are divided into lots of groups, and then you have left communists and anarchists as well. It does seem a bit hopeless sometimes, however you just do what you can, it's all you can do. Just try to get to the truth and stick to it. The problem with Stalinists is they will always go for class collaboration and sow false illusions eg that army leaders could be trusted.

Hey, I appreciate that, thank you. I've been active in the PSL with a few branches over the past few years...right now I've been moving around so much that regular political activity isn't so easy but I try to help out when/where I can.

    1. I'm not a crystal ball. For what it's worth, though, Bill Bland did say that, "To my mind, one of the most fundamental things is education, for all members without exception, compulsory political education for all members is essential if the party is to be saved from revisionist degeneration."

    2. That's because the workers themselves were hardly conscious of their abilities. To a great deal of workers (not to mention peasants) the "practical" side of socialism was an increase of living standards. Since the 1960's-70's did see rising standards of living, and since the revisionists closely connected "socialism" with high standards of living, coupled with the fact that workers obviously had no real education in Marxism-Leninism, it isn't hard to see how Stalin, Hoxha, etc. were quite isolated in this regard.

Feel free to ask questions,il try to help if i can.In my opinion,he was an anti-imperialist,and a reciever of a Lenin peace prize. However, from my anti-revisionist viewpoint,he was not a completely positive figure, with,in my opinion, many wrong positions. However, you should read up on him,and form your own opinion.

well older generation when I talk they agree and they wish to go back Soviet Times, but saying is nothing we can do it about, but yes they believing business is best option and freedom of religious matters. Myself I am living now in England and often travelling to Lithuania and all they think of English people are rich and they want to be rich so kind of favour for capitalism East Europeans working so hard and never become rich but in Lithuania they pretending are rich because is kind strange better status and jealous whom got more money. Over all country is change nothing is building like in Soviet Times used schools, culture buildings all the time going on, road works now is country is getting empty because is not very nice to live in there.

Yes comrade Lithuania media stating crimes and horrors of Soviet Union, to be communist is illegal but legal to be Socialist. As we got small party left wing "Fronatas", but media constantly accusing Algirdas Paleckis his leader of Frontas of some kind of his views on 1991 January uprising of nationalism.
Well government are right wing ruling by Christian Conservatives so is obviously is not paradise for workers. We going back to feudal society. Media giving glory to religious matters, how to be good businessperson. Is all crap.
