Someone might write something like <p style="color:red">Hello</p> then the word Hello would appear in red. However someone may also create an independent CSS file which says .redtext{color: red} and then use <p class="redtext">Hello</p> in order to put Hello in the color red. But if the definition of "redtext" was not available in the CSS file, then the custom design would not show up, and it would show in black rather than red. This is exactly what is happening here. The infobox you copied makes use of some CSS class definitions which are available in Communpedia's CSS files but not ours. I am unsure what access MWZip gives you to CSS files - this may require "Pro". However, we might also simply modify the infobox to use the "style=" rather than class, but this would be annoying to do and create redundance.

It works, but the layout is broken. It's because Marxistpedia's CSS files (stylesheet) do not contain definitions for various CSS classes (see class="..." when editing infobox template) that Communpedia's do.

The CAPTCHA requires people to type exactly "MarxistPedia" (with an uppercase P - lowercase won't work) or signup won't work. I've tried to make it more prominent on the homepage.

Maybe you should upgrade the wiki to "Pro", apparently it costs only $5 and it would allow us to do basically anything we wanted. (I can help with the advanced features)

The more links to a page, the higher the PageRank of that page, the higher it shows up on Google. But it depends on the PageRank of the page which is linking to you. For example, if cnn.com linked to us, we'd get a lot of PageRank off them. However, links from e.g. blog comments and forum threads are usually marked as rel="nofollow" by the site which allows you to post comments on, so that it doesn't pass on PageRank. Another example is Wikipedia: you can put links on there, but they won't pass PageRank.

We need to make Marxistpedia the hegemonic source on communist information. We need to make it so people Google stuff like "socialism" and we show up in Page one. We need to apply SEO techniques, keyword targeting, PageRank improvement, and so on.

You should remove the text from the main page that suggests that we subscribe to one interpretation of Marxism, when in fact we subscribe to Marxism. Also, put instructions on how to sign up in the home page, I doubt that anyone gets the "Marxist Pedia" space thing right.

Well, it's copyrighted whether there is such a sign or not. But should we Marxists worry about this?
