It depends what you mean by "average working class member". I think an averagely educated worker, willing to look up the odd word in a dictionary, could easily understand that passage from Marx. I believe you must be a very condescending fellow to suggest otherwise.

Weet jij trouwens het belangrijkste verschil tussen radencommunisme en anarcho-syndicalisme?

Well it seems that platformism is the exact opposite of everything I see as the strengths of anarchism. That is to say, for me the very point of anarchism is: to be non-ideological and open-ended; to be organised in dispersed networks of momentary affinity (both within 'anarchist' groups and across the lines into 'the real world'); to be rhizomatic and minoritarian (Deleuze & Guattari); to fight against what Richard Day has called the 'hegemony of hegemony.' And so on. Platformism is necessarily rigid, hegemonic, aspiring majoritarian etc.; as such, it plays by the same rules as liberal democracy itself, adheres to the exact same logic of how to 'do' politics, and is therefore always at risk of recuperation. Also it seems that those of the platformist tradition always give silly and antiquated definitions of anarchism (see Black Flame, for example). Maybe if the platformists' tactics and theory were more agreeable to me, I'd be happier for them to demand unity around them

Do you have any good reading recommendations re: workers' councils? I'm a bit of a novice on the subject (theoretically speaking), but am becoming increasingly attracted by the idea.

So, I am supposed to talk to you about why a revolution is not always an authoritarian act, correct? Interested to hear what you have to say.

    I don't know, nor care.

Don't see him as the most powerful man, but one of the most powerful at the time.
