Thanks LEM!
Will do!
How did you pick your name?
Nice to have you as a friend LEM
Have you ever read any Albert Camus? I'd suggest looking into his works and philosophy if you haven't. Camus considered the only philosophical problem to be that of suicide. He felt that there was only 3 ways of dealing with the nothingness of the universe, the first two being suicide and a leap of faith (religion) both of which he deemed as unacceptable. I've also found solace lately in the idea that R.D. Laing articulated, namely that a person can go through mental illness, beat it and come out a more intelligent and better person then if they had never had it. Maybe some of those types of works could help you out.
Things have been okay. I've been reading a bunch of existential philosophy, Camus specifically, which has kinda made me come to the conclusion that I can't commit suicide; I'm a little pissed off about it though, since now I have to deal with existence, which sucks. So I guess I am doing a bit better then I was, since I am not making plans anymore, but still sad.
How have you been?
Thanks
how goes the reading? discover anything noteworthy?
Bombrief is okay I guess. I always liked the verb 'epibreren'. It is not beautiful, but the meaning is cool. It means nothing. It was made up by a writer, and the verb is not very well known. But if you use it, you will sound fancy because the word sounds fancy. So when you say: 'Ik kom zo, ik moet nog even epibreren!' , everybody will think you are going to do something important, while you are saying nothing really. People are afraid to ask what it means too, for some reason. Another nice word is aardappelschilmesje. Which means something like potato-peel-knife. Apparently the longest word in Dutch is: 'kindercarnavalsoptochtvoorbereidingswerkzaamhedenc omitéleden'
