I was wondering if you had any info on the Western Involvement in the Orange "Revolution" and its failure..thanks!

Thank you for your interest in Ukraine. Well, actually modern Ukrainian society is deeply split along the class lines, as the small clique of former Soviet officials and outright mafia-like criminals, who monopolized former State property, reign supreme, while the workers, peasants, self-employed and the unemployed are crushed by the full force of the State and private security services if they attempt any slight dissent.

The fact that there are some cultural and historical differences between the Western and South-Eastern Ukraine does not mean that all social classes find it most important in their lives. Besides, after the dismal failure of the so-called "Orange Revolution" the illusions in "Western democracy" have been somewhat dispelled, so that I don't think the myth of the West plays such a role in the Ukrainian political consciousness which it used to play before 2004.

I see,sounds cool. I usually write science fiction and politics. With anything that doesn't have to do with modern movements, such as fantasy, I usually have some small hints of politics mixed in, but is usually focused on the plot.

What material do you write? Just political or all sorts?
