Yeah, a lot of them seem to be missing the fact that the majority of actual workers didn't see this as a "rebellion", any more than they took the Daily Mailite line of seeing it as a nothing more than as spontaneous criminality. How the majority of workers actually experienced this whole episode is crucial, far more so than how leftists conceptualised it. That complicates things more than I think some posters are allowing.

Yeah, I totally agree with that. I think part of the problem so far has been that nobody has had a very clear of what actually happened, who was involved, and, perhaps most importantly, how the events were experienced by workers who were not directly involved. Hopefully, as that becomes more evident, we'll all be able to get some good insights out of it.
