I don't know a lot about Mao tbh, although the little I know gives me great respect for his acheivements. I would like to think if Ho Chi Minh and Mao were still alive Pol Pot would have been 'taken out' a lot sooner, and maybe Sino-Soviet relations could have improved at some point, bringing a very different outcome to the cold war, and to modern China.

Hey comrade, If you're interested in the Derg, the best book I've read is Transformation & Continuity in Revolutionary Ethiopia. It covers the revolution in 1974 and the protracted process of socialist reconstruction. There are probably more recent accounts, but nothing else impressed me like Christopher Clapham's account.

Spearhead from Space was an episode under the third doctor. So no, he didn't die in that episode (Baker is the fourth doctor btw). I think he died in Logoplois by falling off a tower.

It was nationalistic spirit was in Lithuania waving flags free Lithuania from, Russians slogans everywhere.
Crap actually and I always hated this. Starting attacking Russian population they lost jobs force to speak Lithuanian languages, and of course free market was occurred.
