Oh I understand that and can see why he would admire them, just that it gets old when he glorifies them every paragraph. For someone who spoke out against cults of personality he seems to be doing just that with his heroes. Not to mention with himself in his later years. Power corrupts.

Well I'm reading Imperialism and the Revolution and each section just seems to hit the nail on the head. I've read a few smaller less famous works, but IR is the main one. Perhaps, I'll change one day with the more I learn, but as of now he seems to have the best ideas. Although, I must say I dislike how much he gushes about Stalin and Lenin. It's like dude chill out, Lenin was kick ass and Stalin was meh, no need to gush about them so much.

Hoxha. Almost entirely Hoxha. What he says just makes sense. I'm still worried about it's tendency to lead to bureaucracy and totalitarianism, but think that if we learn from our mistakes we can have a pure ML Socialist state and complete freedom.

Personally, I think that he made some serious errors both during and after the BPP but he was still an overall positive figure. Bob Avakian, of all people, shares my thoughts about him and the BPP. You can take a look at his speech "Summing Up the Black Panther Party" if you want.

I'm always kinda confused about what hipsters are exactly. But more or less.

As for the guy in the "immortal losers" thread talking about art. If something has artistic merit or whatever and it's enjoyable to me then I fuck with it. If doesnt have that merit but it's enjoyable I still fuck with it.

I don't like, do or buy stuff to impress people I do it because I like the swagger that comes with it. Art means nothing to me. Picasso, Mozart and all that shit doesnt concern me. People arent more cultured if they like that shit they just differently cultured than most people are.
