Well what I'm saying is that many LGBT activists also take part in revolutionary political activism. The LGBT movement itself, like the movement for women or ethnic minorities, can be either reformist or revolutionary. If you can accept that certain sections of feminist activism or black activism can be revolutionary, I think the same would apply for LGBT activism.

Note that I'm a Marxist, not anarchist, even though I've been influenced by anarchism and certainly don't mind working with anarchists. This means I'm very much a materialist. Although I'm also influenced by post-genderism, I don't think one can deny that there is actually a material basis (e.g. brain structure and hormones) for the existence of gender to some extent, and by extension also for the phenomenon of transgenderism. Given there is a literal biological difference between men and women, I think we can arrive at a society where people can live however they wish, but statistically I don't think we can completely get rid of the "skew" between the genders.

There is a difference between transgenderism in the traditional sense (e.g. MtFs, FtMs) and being genderqueer. I suppose you could say that the former is more reformist while the latter is more revolutionary. It is interesting to note that most existing states in the world legally only recognise two genders.

The proportion of genderqueer people among LGBT people is a small minority, but they are probably more revolutionary than most.

I don't know about claiming that most LGBT activism is just reformist, since quite a lot of LGBT people are actually revolutionaries. Maybe you meant that the movement itself intrinsically is just "reformist", but I don't think any political movement has an essentialist "intrinsic nature".

Well, admittedly there is a degree of "identity politics" in all of this, and I know the left generally has mixed feelings about "identity politics". But I think actually transgenderism does have a concrete materialistic basis (e.g. brain structure), so it's not just a form of "idealistic lifestylism".

My own interest in LGBT politics is primarily human rights, not identity or sex itself. My point is that while we don't know how certain forms of queer issues may develop in the future, at present it is clearly wrong to kill someone or imprison someone just because they sleep with someone of the same sex or bend genderal norms in some way.
