I would say you agree with council communist or anarcho-communist views. In practice, an anarcho-communist society and a council communist society would look very much the same. The difference between them is the theory - they have different class analyses but that's pretty much it, really. I was a council communist myself for about a month or so - until I became an anarcho-communist.

But something of note: Workers' councils are formed during revolution and are the naturally occurring governmental and workplace-management institutions formed by revolutionary workers in times of crisis to oppose the state, government and hierarchical capitalist managerial structure of the status quo, respectively. Councils in workplaces are the manifestation of common property rights and are an alternative to private and state property rights. Other councils are formed as alternatives to the current state and centralised government.

Haha.. so why do you think Mao was something other than a leader of the workers ? because he didn't try and lead a futile purely urban workers revolution in a country consisting of 90-something% peasants ?

Yeah, like I said in the thread, I haven't negreped anyone except maybe by accident. You were the one who blew his top when I used the standard analysis of what a "lumpenproletarian" is against Cleaver's idiosyncratic analysis which you should hardly expect people to know that you're using unless you add some qualification.

never had much for (anarchist) theorie, always found it dry and sectarian humbug, i prefer (auto-)biografie's.
and then i would start with "living my life" by emma goldman

Hehe. Sorry, but I, too, am just going to start some reading. For starters I'm going to read The Conquest of Bread by Kropotkin. For the basics you might want to read some of the online Anarchist FAQ (http://anarchism.pageabode.com/afaq/index.html). It basically summarises alot of anarchist theory. http://www.marxists.org/reference/archive/bakunin/ - all Bakunin's works (on a Marxist site for some reason. First I'm guessing you should read the bolded items.).
