What you seem to have missed is the fact that James was a "state-cappie" trot. In fact most Cliffites have the same position as Orthodox Trots on national struggles. As for Left-Coms, the early Bordiga disparaged national struggles but later on he came to agree with Marx, Engels and Lenin's position on the national question which is one of the issues on which Programma Communista split from the PCInt.

According to Richard Pipes, Lenin was only an anti-Tsarist revolutionary because his brother was killed by the Tsar.

The point being that simply ascribing ulterior motives to people is not an argument against anything. You can accuse Left-Coms and State Cappie Trots of racism, (On a related note, ever heard of C.L.R James?) but in the end all it boils down to is you not wanting to engage seriously with any critics with the quasi-social-democratic "anti-imperialist" movements so-beloved of the "Left".
