I don't know about any general attitude. Some of the bordigist stuff kind of freaks me out but apart from that I think I could fight alongside left-communists.

Trotskyism is just strange, as far as I can make out Trotsky got pissed off because he wasn't the one holding the reigns of the USSR so he made up loads of stuff about how he was some kind of valiant libertarian who was ousted via stalinist conspiracy, even though practically everyone in the CPSU was worried that Trotsky was the one who would become a mad dictator.

One thing that really irritates me and that I've noticed about a lot of their members that post on this board is that they use really short clipped sentences and cliche's as an answer to almost everything. It gets kind of annoying after a while

I don't really agree with their extreme positions on trade-unionism. The degree of union integration into the state tends to vary from country to country and union to union. Total condemnation is just absurd. I agree with most of their other positions though. However as far as I can see they don't have much real world presences.

This is a difficult question. If you study only the works of Mao, even if you come to know the main points of Maoism, you will not know how important they are or how they can be applied. So it is better to study the application oriented documents and history of some Maoist CP that is conducting revolution at present. As different topics arise there, you can read the associated works by Mao.

Neo-Evolians don't know what they talk about and just want to be anti-establishment. They are mostly a European phenomenon anyway. Americans are not enough foppish to be intrigued by anything as silly as that.
