Thanks! I notice that when these threads come up posters, especially myself, make comments like: 'we need to orientate feminist issues, lgbt issues, race issues, into the class struggle.' Which is fine and all, but in all honesty, when it comes down to my actual organizing work with the CWI, I'm not sure what exactly my role is in that or how I can best help to facilitate it.

Hey. I certainly don't want to make you feel like you have to post, but I'd be interested in your perspective in the question I raised in the 'feminist groups' thread. I mean you were the first person I thought of, but I plan on asking more people their opinions as well. But as a white, male, communist living in north america, any advice I can get on how to orientate our CWI section here in Canada, to be as inclusive to people who are generally considered oppressed minorities (lgbt, women, racial minorities). So you tend to have a fairly good feminist perspective, so I'd love to hear your thoughts. I mean I don't expect you to be able to answer all those obviously, but as a women if you could give some advice on how a small and growing political group can orientate itself so women (as well as other oppressed minorities) feel as if the group they're working with isn't attempting to take control of their struggle, but merely be a valuable ally.

is that an inter-uni one at Sheffield? I was really planning to go to that but obviously my shoulder's still fucked. Got a scan on 29th september (love the NHS...) so got to wait to see how bad it is
