Why would it be different? In China those days many people opposed the CCP too. Shouldn't their rights of self-determination be considered too? Or they shouldn't be just because they are Chinese as well?

Also, what about the Leninists in Central Asian countries, those countries were not Russian either were they, they were conquered by force by the Tsarist empire. So does this mean Soviet revolution in Central Asian republics were a form of Soviet imperialism?
