Orthodox Marxism is an actual tendency. It seeks to build a mass "party-movement" based off the example of the pre-war SPD and it was developed by Kautsky and Plekhanov (before they became "renegades" and whatnot, while they were still Marxists). It is not just something people call themselves to give themselves credibility. Both DNZ and Ghost Bebel follow that line of thought, building mass party-movements, Kautsky revivalism, etc. I think the CPGB is a good example of an Orthodox Marxist group. I sympathize with it, to be sure.

Hmm that's really interesting I guess I should check it out. I reject an anti-stalinist historical view so that has kinda deterred me from reading Trotsky, but lately I find myself agreeing with Trots on a lot so it would be good to start reading into him.
