I watched DBZ many years ago in my growing years, but only about a season's worth of episodes. It wasn't as cute or enjoyable as the original Dragonball.

The first part of the discussion is actually a jab at the Marxist acceptance of the "gentlemen's history" account of Caesar, which then carries through into Bonapartism. Now, granted, Bonapartism - either Napoleonic or Louis-ist - is reactionary, since Napoleon's rise was a reaction to the Jacobins, but Julius Caesar had no revolutionary upheaval against which he might have reacted to (or perhaps sided with).

"Permanent revolution" is worker-centric because it says that they must become the leading class, even if it's in a really tiny minority. It acknowledges the socially meh capacity of sharecroppers and small tenant farmers, but doesn't acknowledge their political capacity.

"Managed democracy" Putin-style only applies to Third World nations where there's a likelihood of some great figure with an idea coming to power.
