Yes, I've been meaning to comment - and criticize him by making a thread, but I've been caught up. He is not worth totally dismissing here but in general, Zizek is wrong and his approach to the matter is very weak.
You can do it by self-study, comrade. I am now in declensions. I am a poster at www.masterrussian.net. Have your declensions and grammar corrected by the moderators. They are excellent teachers. It's as simple as filling in the blanks. You should know what a direct object, indirect object, preposition are. Also, you know what instrumental is so that if you declense a noun you will just remove the ending and replace them with appropriate ending. Get books in the library but you have to buy your Barron's 501 Russian verbs. Sometimes they are not offered in the library because of the author. Good luck.

Bruh, this is not a matter of evolving language. Evolution in language has to be grammatically correct by their own rules, i.e. internally consistent. This is why, say, African American Vernacular English is a correct form of English, because it is internally consistent and logical. Using "it's" in place of of "its" violates this principle. /grammar nazi rant

Well, your English is clear and understandable on this board. I've played with the idea of learning more German. When I was a boy (back in the early 1950s), I spoke some German, Yiddish, and Spanish. The Spanish stuck because I hear it all the time here in the United States, and I lived in California until 1995, where over half the population speak Spanish. But the German and Yiddish are mostly forgotten. I occasionally have an elderly lady stay at my house when she comes to my town to visit with her doctors, and the Yiddish comes back a little bit because she talks to me in Yiddish. Best of luck with German. It's a wonderful language. Do you live in Portugal or maybe Galicia?
Good idea about the corrector. Do you have access to either British audio newscasts or American audio newscasts? Listening to those can help you acquire idioms and understanding or speech. BBC is good. Many of the presenters have Received British English accents, and most American broadcasters have Standard American English accents. Both of those are quite good, and they'll introduce you to more idioms and vocabulary. What is your first language?
