hi, do you know much about the history of Germany between 1890-1991 and the historiography surrounding it (sunderweg etc)?
I have to do an essay on it for school to answer the question "Considering the process of change in Germany democracy between 1890-1991, to what extent was the Treaty of Versailles a key turning point?"

Was wondering if you could point me in the direction of any resouces i should look at (books, articles etc)?

Yeah. I noticed in the Letter to the Workers of the USSR, and as a Trotskyist fellow pointed out to me, that Trotsky called for a defense of the 'degenerated workers state" against imperialist powers, while at the same time calling for Stalin's overthrow. If Stalin had as much power as they say, an overthrow would actually leave the USSR, very vulnerable.
