Hey comrade, that's a pretty interesting bit of information you posted about your grandmother helping out the red brigades. Is there anything else you could possibly share about her experience? I don't know too much about them, other than that they did a few kidnappings which cost them a decent deal of support of I think.

There's a cool story behind that. Shortly after we started marching, this huge woman, who was easily in her late 70s early 80s just came up and bearhugged me, then she started shouting something in a foreign language at a younger guy on the side of the road, I looked over and he was applauding the party. It occurred to me that I was being bearhugged by a Russian woman who had spent her childhood in the Stalin era. It was really nice, she was very visibly moved by the experience of seeing a bunch of white Brits carry Stalin through the capital, I really think it made her trip to London worthwhile.

Apart from that we had a few conversations with people who seemed genuinely interested in what we were about, and of course a few Trots who felt necessary to squeal "STALIN!?!?! STALIN!??!? STALIN?!?!?!!" over and over.

Oh sorry you mean as the 'Black Nationalist' flag? I was using the pan-african flag but its also similar to the flag flown by the Libyan rebels.

In what way? I don't think the rebels are Nationalist as such, they've pretty much invited the entire World (in the form of the UN) to help them out.

The MCPC is still definitely in existence, but obviously it's facing all kinds of serious problems from brutal state oppression.

And no it's not meant to be sarcasm. The Singhalese is an Indo-European (i.e. "Aryan") ethno-linguistic group, while Tamil is a Dravidian ethno-linguistic group. Aryans have oppressed the Dravidians in the Indian sub-continent for thousands of years.

In the course of the clash of the socialist and capitalist lines, Deng had stated that it does not matter whether the colour of a cat is red or white as long as it catches mice. By this he meant that it did not matter whether the socialist or capitalist path was chosen as long as it resulted in development. Maoists drew a strict class line in reply and stated that the cat must always be red.
