I must formally thank you for recommending Szymanski's book "Is the Red Flag Still Flying". I know it was a while ago, but it's probably one of the best books I've read, period. Not to mention probably the single most solid analysis of the USSR I've seen. Once again thanks, I'm going to order more of his books.

Yes, absolutely, the Spartakusbund (Luxemburg/Liebknecht) as well as the USPD (Kautsky) had their stances on the Treaty of Versailles but I'm afraid these articles are not translated... I'll keep an eye out and inform you if I stumble over something.
