Thanks for pointing me in the direction of your new thread (as well as your posts). I also have trouble making sense of Hitchens ideologically, although my admiration for him makes some of his arguments for some policies and allegiances which are unabashedly, so to speak, neo-conservative, make me think on the historical relationship between trots (such as yourself, I hope I am not too bold to guess) and neo-cons. I've quite enjoyed your contributions and regret that I've been finding so much less time to add to the conversations on revleft, where I occupy a mostly spectator role.

Oh by the way I can link you to some good articles/books on the subject if you want, from "my" side of the issue.

Hmm, I'm not sure if I have the time to argue that issue in a really detailed way, as I'm sure Bobkindles would do. I also don't think that I can really relay the theory as good as it has been by others, especially by Trotsky himself.

But if he's up for a more drawn-out debate, without any time-constraints so that I can reply in-depth whenever I have the time, I'd be interested in that.
