Sorry I overreacted, I mainly objected to the phrase parasites but the main reason was because I related what you had said to some bad experiences I've witnessed one being an extreme form of bullying towards an old man where a couple claimed ownership of the squat when they hadn't even been there the longest. I projected that experience onto what you said which is why I responded harshly. That wasn't fair and I apologise.

Hi I just want to point out I complete support the admins and mods on RevLeft taking a harder line on sexism and homophobia, as you have outlined in this thread:

Frankly sometimes I think RevLeft does not crack down on sexists and homophobes hard enough. Explicit discrimination is always not allowed, but sometimes implicit prejudices can go pretty much un-noticed.

I just want to add that you should explicitly mention transphobia as well. Granted, transphobia is always quite closely related to sexism and homophobia, but it is an independent issue to some extent as well. In principle it's possible for someone to be transphobic but not sexist or homophobic in anyway. I just think RevLeft should make it even more explicit that transphobia is not tolerated in any form anywhere on this forum.
