He was a Pirate and a relative of mine. One of the more successful but less known about. Definitely a good example of a socialist oriented Pirate. He was motivated by political and economic reasons, allowed people of color to serve as equals, practiced direct democracy, etc, etc. I thought you might, as a fellow pirate head, be interested. Worth a read. Also, look into his ship the Whydah, first pirate shipwreck ever found in North America. Was one of the richest prizes ever captured.
