Well, granted that we require some kind of public officials with powers to make important decisions (which I believe we will still need for some time after the revolution), they need to be elected. We cannot move to direct democracy immediately after the revolution, and having officials appointed by any means other than elections leaves the system too open to nepotism and various other kinds of corruption.
  2. Do a Kautsky one. You've had that annoying animated one forever.

You should really be writing these things in LaTeX, it's so much easier on the eyes, and it allows you to do so much more in pdfs.

I've been reading those articles you've sent me, on and off, and it's difficult because (no offense) the writing style sucks. Namely there's no flow to it, it's jagged as a rock.

(I'm also somewhat a newb when it comes to google docs, so I'm not sure about editing it and whatnot; sigh, if only it were in TeX...)

I just think on questions like Socialism in One Country, it's more topical in theory than history. I agree that it's a good thread, I don't think I exiled it or anything like that.

Not really but I appreciate that this important figure has been buried in our tradition due to events from 1914 onwards.

"A new centrist project does not have to repeat these mistakes. Nobody in this topic is advocating a carbon copy of the Second International (which again was only partly centrist)." (Tjis, class-struggle anarchist)

"A centrist strategy is based on patience, and building a movement or party or party-movement through deploying various instruments, which I think should include: workplace organising, housing struggles [...] and social services [...] and a range of other activities such as sports and culture. These are recruitment and retention tools that allow for a platform for political education." (Tim Cornelis, left-communist)
