Hi Bilan, sorry I never got back to you on those links you gave me. I liked both of them actually, especially the Atlas Sound track, it reminded of the Beach Boys in a strange way. And that Cox chap has a very interesting story. I recently discovered this:

I've read some various essays that were very good, though I can't remember the names, and I got through about a third of la Bete Humaine when I rented it from the library and I quite liked it. (Not being able to finish books I why I buy my books)

And lots of things are more worthwhile read than Pot Luck. But if you mean by Zola in particular, then la bete humanie is defiantly picking up and I hear Germinal is also quite good. (Or at least according to my French professor, but he wrote a book on Zola so I trust his opinion, haha. )

Anyways, yes, I agree it didn't seem worth while at first, even thought about not continuing to read it. But, having read other things by Zola which were superb, I kept reading, and as I said, it paid off.

And I'll look in to Johnno, that is the one about queensland or what not right?
