Well I think some people have taken third worldism to ridiculous lengths. I'm partly Maoist/left Maoist, but the Maoist doctrine is just that the working class is the leading class while the peasantry is the semi-leading class. So while this puts the peasantry higher than the peasant-skeptic socialists, it's still the working class that is the main revolutionary force. Also, although Maoism focuses more on anti-imperialism and anti-colonialism, it certainly does not say that workers in advanced capitalist countries cannot have a revolution.

Thanks for replying. But frankly I'd be totally amazed that a Western Christian fundamentalist like him who is advocating the doctrine that "the vast majority of people are probably going to hell" is actually a third worldist of any kind.

BTW, I'm also influenced by "third worldism", but only the original Marxist kind, not the anti-worker (i.e. only third world peasants can pull off a revolution) kind.
