For what it's worth, to me that thread I started (which you moved) was more about who said what rather than what was said.
http://www.revleft.com/vb/antifa-eng...433/index.html Not bullshit sadly.
Thanks for closing that thread on the Hotel Bristol. Would have been better to have it closed as soon as it started
Oh right. Thanks for letting me know.
I was wondering that myself. I have no idea.
Perhaps the SWP-UK, whom I've defended here, but certainly not the cretins in the SWP-US or the CWI. The CWI's level of political consciousness is so low in their rank and file that they were seriously discussing whether or not to bomb Iran to bring them out of feudalism in one of their local meetings.
Proves my point precisely about the irrelevance of the Western left sect ghetto. And I would lump most of the anti-revisionists in this as well. Real movements like Bolivarism don't have the luxury to wank over Stotsky or Tralin, nor fringe hanger-ons like Hoxha. I took my ire out on the Trotskyists in that thread simply because this pretense at internationalism, given the tendency's overall irrelevance, is tired and chauvinistic. I had similar laughs when Western Maoists tried to give programmatic advice to the Nepalese. Either offer critical support to the anti-colonial struggles being waged around the world, which is what Marx did (omg a bourgeois Stalinist!!), or just stop whining.
It must annoy you that the western leftists the PFLP acknowledge turn out to be a bunch of "Stalinists"
You're welcome. Can't believe she'll let me have the last word. And when she does... on March 31, 2009 she asked [in this thread] "How can the means and relations of production be a contradiction." Priceless. Show's how ignorant she is of everything Marx wrote in Capital. I intend to answer her question.
Yeah, I wish the left was doing more to publicize the LTV. To often, I think, the left is assumed to of been "theoretically defeated" in some respect. While this is a much stronger sentiment amoung people who are more intrested in politics generally, I think its kinda seeped over to the working class as a whole. At least from my personal experience. Someone on here should write a FAQ on Marxist economic theory, its not really good enough just to tell them to read wage labour and capital, or some other ancient text (And doesn't inspire confidence at all, as its vital we address the marginalist critques of marxist econ before many people can take it seriously. Ack, sorry i've been rambling - I gave Mike his thanks of course.
