Things have been going very well, I'm about finished school and am currently working abroad for a few months before returning. I've been reading a lot while I'm here, How have you been? We haven't talked in quite awhile. -B
I've been following your stuff on Anti- Dialectics and I was wondering what you think about the "Humanist" Marxists from the Johnson Forester Tendency who lay alot of stress on the Dialectical Method?
because I'm sure you do :P
hahahaha my karl popperian philosophy teacher told me wittgensteins style of writing/arguing is close to that of a schizophrenian
But I like the points you make! I think debunking these myths is useful. I just think it would be helpful to have your ideas down in a more navigable formate. Your ideas could have greater impact (which is a good thing!) if they were presented in a different way. Just my opinion!
At some point, one gets tired of reading your posts on dialectics and the like and wonders, "All of this would much more digestible in one slim volume." The chaotic nature of your website also induces this feeling. So, when is your book coming out? I know you have been working on it for some time now.
PART 2 - And yes, Huey P Newton's work constantly and explicitly emphasises dialectical materialism. From 1970 onwards that is. The list you made is interesting but its so long + only really focussed on philosophy in and of itself, my list however was just for great works which use the DM method. Have you read Bukharin's Arabesques ? It seems pretty cool and I like Bukharin, is it worth reading ? Of course you dont like it but if you were silly enough to believe in dialectics would you recommend it ?
The Manifesto and Origins of the Family are both obviously works of dialectical materialism as they show the dialectical development of material situations. I tried to read your disproving of Mao's theories but honestly its impossible for me to follow. Its so abstract and involves what seems to be ridiculous jumps in logics as well as a naive misreading of dialectical theory. You should try working with material examples (after all, this is what makes DM DM not just D), it would make things a lot more understandable and i think would help you too. For example, in the USSR, socialism transformed into its opposite, capitalism. This was due to the class contradictions within Russian society, an aspect of which was capitalism (+ of course the external contradictions between ussr and the capitalist powers). When the capitalism became the principal aspect the economy became capitalist. This concrete example is much easier to follow than your ridiculous abstract stuff about P*1 whatever
that and, why the fuck do you give a shit?
Well considering you seem to base your entire workon anti-dialectics and constantly pratter on and on about if they dont face you they are a coward and a mistakes and if not then they are a fool. That and your cute little insults, I get tired of them so I just gave you a lulz. If you truly have a problem with it, then please take it up with someone who gives a shit. Me? I'm going to actually help the revolutionary situation.
