What is ontological materialism exactly, and what should replace it?

I didn't know about the WWP, but it was the Sparts that I encountered. Got some pamphlet from them that introduced me to Marxism actually, but I never bought into their views though. I might have to take you up on that some day, but these days I'm too busy with shit at the Uni to have much time for anything.
