    Varg Vikernes holds some very nasty beliefs but the music itself does not carry any reactionary ideas in the lyrical themes, it's all about darkness, folklore and such. Burzum is a master at creating hypnotizing, beautifully dark, sad atmospheres. Especially Filosofem - his best album imo - helped me a lot in depressing times.

    Indeed, Hammerheart was one of the albums which got me into metal in the first place. Never get tired of One Road to Asa Bay.

    Yes, I really enjoy that type of metal. The raw early albums are great but I absolutely love the more epic doom oriented ones like "Twilight of the Gods". I tend to have some sort of soft spot for pagan romanticism in music.
