Am I smart? I just read a lot. It helps when anarchism and communism are my interests too. And remember- history is just a set of lies that have been agreed upon (Napoleon).
Honestly, compared to most posters on here, I'm rather stupid. Rev left and reading Marx, Engels, Trotsky, Bakunin and Berkman have significantly improved my English skills. Don't worry if most people are hostile to you in debates- they're just angry that they are an armchair revolutionary! I am one too, the most I do is hand out leaflets and write articles for a site.

Hey dude, if you're in the bay area I'm in a Trotskyist group as well, and we're totally active doing a bunch of things around lately CCSF. We're the U.S. branch of the 4th International, which reformed in the 90's.

We've been doing a bunch of stuff around education lately, since the state is basically trying to close CCSF to half the students there. So if you're interested i'd love to hear back.

That made me laugh comrade. You have to be careful with trots, I was once one. I reccomend you go to the very basics- "principles of communism" by frederick Engels. This is outdated and has a few reformist points in it, but overall is a good introduction text.

You seem eager to learn- I like that. I hope you find your time on rev left enjoyable.
