    A Coming of Age: Albania under Enver Hoxha by James S. O'Donnell is the best introductory work on Socialist Albania from a bourgeois perspective. Another work of similar scope (but with its own information) is Socialist Albania since 1944 by Peter R. Prifti.

    There is no English-language biography of Hoxha, nor was there any biography of him written in Albania during the socialist period.
