I was glad to see you did take it away - I probably would have just pretended that it didn't exist after that though. There is a discussion in the CU and I would assume with the BA about what to do about graphic content because it can be relevant and play a roll at times.

I'm not having a go at you in particular but there is a general issue on the boards that people feel the need to post graphic content for no reason, particularly an article would be sufficient. I didn't realise that you had posted the video without article to begin with, though I still think it would be wiser to find search for an article about the video or to write something yourself. If people want to look at such videos, they can google it - we shouldn't feel any need to post them.

I can't really say that they are using a motive or something. sometimes GD is something neutral, the other time they show them like heroes (in their own media way) and sometimes they blame them for everything to draw the attention away from the scandals of the 'useless' government.

It's the old timed classic recipe that the media use:use them however it's convenient.

Honestly, generalizations about Islam have nothing to do with the actions of a few Muslims, no matter how deplorable their actions are. Slander against Islam and the Prophet in the West dates back a thousand years, because it's consistent with the aims of western imperialists; first Catholic, now Protestant and "Secular"/Atheist. Sigh. Thousands of years of geopolitics over huge, huge swathes of the world, nearly a quarter of the world's population, imagined out of existence. They'd be doing it with or without 9/11, or Boston, or whatever action they want to distort and manipulate to suit their imperialistic aims.

The western canon, man, I just cannot abide.
