I think the vanguard party is important because other organizations, such as the trade unions (whether revolutionary unions or not) are very workerist, fighting for the demands of individual workers. As communists, we do not fight for the demands of the individual proletariat (who can hold very reactionary views being a product of bourgeois society) but for the revolutionary interests of the proletariat as a whole. The vanguard party, made up naturally of the most class conscious section of the proletariat, does not suffer from these tendencies and, therefore, is the best organ to fight for socialism.

I complely support the conception of a vanguard party and think it is completely necessary for a number of reasons. I can go more into detail if you want.

Left communists are not against the vanguard party. Left communists are pro-Bolshevik and pro-party, especially the Bordigists (the tendency of left communism I subscribe to).

I would say I am a left communist following a pretty strict Bordigist line. I agree with the conception of the vanguard party and it's importance, I am against "national liberation" struggles, against participating in current bourgeois trade unions, against the united front of the Trots and the popular front of the Stalinists...I think you get the idea
