I read one of your older arguments, on the value of a surgeon and janitor, and I couldn't agree more with your premise that real surgeons shouldn't need incentive for their tasks. A REAL surgeon should do the job for righteous reasons, rather than the self-righteousness you see in our society. Sure there won't be as many doctors, which itself is a problem, but the quality of work conducted, by those who do it for the love of the profession, will be increased exponentially. The only reason we see poor quality, from all professions, is because of the idea of exploitation. A doctor is not going to work in a qualitative style if he/she sees a corrupt society where money flows.

All that will do is corrupt individual doctors, causing them to move towards quantitative practices for more money(this is also an argument I use against those who claim quality will degrade under Socialism.) Is it any wonder why Nuns, who were overly pious, during the 18-19th century, were better at treating patients than Doctors?

Capitalism follows the idea that the good and moral are idiots, while the evil and corrupt are enlightened. How can anyone claim that Quality is better under such a state...
