On his profile, it says he lives in the United States but Deicide lives in the UK. Are you sure it's him?

I looked back on his older playlists, and there were videos on Marxism and Das Kapital; so it very well could be.

Good comments on the anti-Germans. It's not good to see people who claim to be revolutionaries defending them.

That's a good point by Zizek. I had never really thought of it that way before. It seems to me that the primary purpose of the most Soviet public art was the glorification of industrialization and the 'forward march of progress'. There was also a significant dimension to hero worship, in regards to Lenin and Stalin; but just as often there are monuments to the proletariat itself. I don't think they can be considered to be deliberately totalitarian; perhaps in poor aesthetic taste by our standards, but aside from the Lenin and Stalin monuments, there didn't seem to be too much that tried to reinforce what we would stereotypically associate with a "totalitarian" society in the culture.

I do not know much about the cultural policies of the GDR, but I do know some about the USSR. The amount of anti-communiusm in that video is astounding.

The subject of culture is a complex one. On the one hand, the proletariat's main goal is to abolish itself as a class, along with all other classes; but on the other, what about culture during the transitional period before this has been accomplished? Can there be a real proletarian culture, or did the cultural policies of the USSR merely borrow from bourgeois culture and try to re-purpose it in a progressive way? These are good questions.

There was a movement for the "proletkult"(proletarian culture) in the early days of the Russian Revolution, but it was something that Lenin was very against. I'm not sure that socialist realism claims to be proletarian culture, but in some ways it seems that the concept of it may not be too different.

Political Statement
I am a Marxist Propagandist of communist or rather marxist, ideas for the Overthrow of Western Imperialism and global Capitalism, to be replaced with workers' control Socialism to Communism (depending on if we still have a planet or human race to bring world wide socialism). At this stage in history and dire condition of our planet and human race, a supporter of any rational parties with a chance of implementing a rational energy and environmental policy through parliamentary means, although i think that capitalism does not have this capability. For the Communist Party, the organisation of the the most conscious workers, the revolutionary Vanguard of the Proletariat; for the arming of the working class and strict Class theorist Socialist institutionalisation. Revolutionary "political" centralisation but economic democratisation. Socialism is the struggle for communism; an international CLASSless, State-less, money-less, and egalitarian society with the implementations of "Each according to his ability, each according to his needs" ONLY in which the age old exploitation of man by man can be abolished.

"It is necessary for Communists to enter into contradiction with the consciousness of the masses. . . The problem with these Transitional programs and transitional demands, which don't enter into any contradiction with the consciousness of the masses, or try to trick the masses into entering into the class struggle, create soviets - [is that] it winds up as common-or-garden reformism or economism." - Mike Macnair, on the necessity of the Minimum and Maximum communist party Program.

"You're lucky. You have a faith. Even if it's only Karl Marx" - Richard Burton
