The same thing is happening here in Atlanta. The area I've lived in is slowly going from an aging industrial district full of street art, warehouses, train yards, and working class people to an area full of luxury lofts and yuppies with their "neighborhood revitalization projects". Which is really just "let's do whatever we can to raise property values and get these poor people out of here". They recently came up with this thing called the "belt line project", which is using this unused set of train tracks to make a walking path and different public parks. Sounds innocent enough, but these tracks go through working-class neighborhoods that are now being demolished to build lofts on the belt line; it's prime real estate. One of my old hang-out spots, an isolated warehouse foundation that my friends and I could go skate, drink, make a campfire, do whatever we wanted has been completely demolished and turned into a family-friendly park complete with a children's playset.

Nee, hier oben (SH) is auch nix los. Die Wirtschaft hier ist relativ krisenfest da hauptsÃ¤chlich auf Agrar- und Dienstleistungssektor beschrÃ¤nkt, die Petit Bourgeoisie ist noch relativ fest im Sattel und das merkt man auch an der Politik. SH hatte jetzt am Wochenende Landtagswahlen, Linke mit 2.2% das schlechteste Ergebnis seit langem eingefahren. Den anderen Parteien gehts da auch kaum besser, statistisch wÃ¼rde man da von einer quasi-Gleichverteilung reden; wildes Koalitionsbauen is grad angesagt. Abseits der parlamentarischen Politik bewegt sich aber kaum etwas, Deutschland insgesamt scheint da die Konsequenzen der Krisen auf die anderen Nationen abwÃ¤lzen zu kÃ¶nnen.

As far as I know the view of Stalin was that the USSR was just starting to construct communism (which obviously wouldn't be completed anytime soon and not without world proletarian revolution) in the postwar years. Hence his proposals for replacing commodity production in the countryside with products-exchange, etc. He himself believed that by the 1960's international capitalism would basically give way to worldwide socialism.

Political Statement: I am a Marxist Propagandist of communist or rather marxist, ideas for the Overthrow of Western Imperialism and global Capitalism, to be replaced with workers' control Socialism to Communism (depending on if we still have a planet or human race to bring world wide socialism). Revolutionary "political" centralisation but economic democratisation. Socialism is the struggle for communism; an international CLASSless, State-less, money-less, and egalitarian society with the implementations of "Each according to his ability, each according to his needs" ONLY in which the age old exploitation of man by man can be abolished.
