You say you're a council communist with DeLeonist leanings, have you ever thought of joining the Worker's Party in America? Because from what I've heard they're DeLeonist. What does DeLeonism actually entail though?

Other workers from the TV house were arrested too and one woman lost its unborn baby in the prison. And now we are left only with TV channels that do nothing but support the government all the time and spread hate towards the united opposition front. The campaign before the elections was tense too the Social-Democrats organized a meeting in front of the government with over 300.000 people present. The possibility that the elections were set up is not excluded.

When the people left late in the night the police violently broke in the empty building and stole several files and computers which resulted in the TV house to go out and transmit its news directly every day till the elections from in front of the government building! People joined them everyday there and stood with them giving them support in their mission. But unfortunately somehow IMRO won the elections with 70.000 votes more than the Social-Democrats which resulted in blocking the accounts of the TV and its bankrupt. Following that the director of the TV house was arrested alongside with HIS FAMILY MEMBERS including his children and sentenced to prison for hiding taxes from the state on around 10-13 years i think alongside with his children.

Hahaha. Well yes. Not personally but around a year ago IMRO took aggressive actions against Macedonia's first and oldest private TV house which spoke openly and criticized the government and her politics. After speaking too often and criticizing too harsh the government made a police raid on the TV while it was working under excuse that it was preventing inspectors from doing their work. Citizens quickly gathered in front of the TV's head quarters in revolt because of the action. The police in response dispatched special forces to block access to the TV house. It was chaos one of my parents was there it included a lot of pushing and fighting as the police forces blocked the building till late hours preventing anyone to enter or exit even the usual workers. There was transmission in live from the inside of the TV while all this was going on.

It is ridiculous! Nationalism was under control in Yugoslavia but now its rise is huge and the tensions between nationalities grow everyday. Especially between Macedonians and Albanians. I just hate all the nationalism im surrounded with. IMRO also built lots of statues including Byzantine emperor Justinian I which was born on this territories and a huge statue of Alexander that just made our relations with the Greeks even worse. They are even rebuilding buildings in ancient style and making this personality cult towards Alexander poisoning people with that Macedonia was a glorious empire before even other modern countries existed. I don't want to bore you a lot. Generally nationalism is on the rise but the Social-Democrats are getting more popular with it so we shall see in time.

Now we have 2 dominant parties fighting for the government the nationalist IMRO and the left-wing Social-Democratic Union of Macedonia joined by Titoist Left Forces and other small parties. Unfortunately in the past 6 years we are ruled by IMRO who are spreading a strong anti-communist and anti-left wing overall policy. They even arrest people that used to work with the government of Yugoslavia back in the socialist days calling them traitors. They view the Socialist times as if Macedonia was enslaved and all who were communists were traitors to the nation. They even built a museum last year called Museum of the victims of the Communist regime in the center of the capital city. Besides that the youth is mainly nationalist and nationalism is growing here as always on the Balkan.

After Macedonia became independent from Socialist Federate Republic of Yugoslavia 20 years ago we've been into a transition period. Macedonia has a tendency for capitalism but it still has a institution for denationalization and is stuck in a transition towards a capitalist society because the economy is not that good. About the factions here - after Macedonia became independent the ruling party during the socialist period ( the Union of Macedonian Communists ) managed to get the government on the first elections against the right-wing nationalist IMRO even tho they had more votes. After that the communist party changed its ideology to Social-Democracy. Few of the communists still have parties like the Communist Party of Macedonia and Titoist Left Forces but they are mostly old men which spent most of their life in Yugoslavia.

I think you misread what I said. I said that democratic centralism has no place in a modern socialist party.

I can see how it may have been considered necesssary for the Bolsheviks to adopt such a form of organization given their situation, but I don't think anything resembling democratic centralism has a place in a socialist party today. What's your opinion on the matter?
