Miners in northern Spain have been occupying their mines since a month after the spanish government did austerity and subsidies to the mining companies were cut leading to devestation of the miners' wages and jobs. Well, the interesting thing is, that this mine has explosives. The relatives and fired colleagues of the miners have taken up projectiles against the capitalist state authorities trying to remove them from the capitalists' mines, and are using hand made bazookas against the police! among the usual molotovs and rocks.

If you are intersted: My father and i have always been quite the castle enthusiasts so the bike trip in France we took was along the Loire which has bunch of castles from the 14th to 18th century feudal kings' vacation spots, since the Loire was the region that exported alluvial mineral rocks used to build castles around Europe. The caves we visited had picture footage of working conditions in the rock extraction in the early 20th century, and to estimate how many people died in the caves over the year hundreds would be an impossibility they said. It was quite interesting also to visit the house of Leonardo Da Vinci where they exhibited actual working experiments on his former castle grounds that he designed in the 15th century, quite interesting.
