They are largely anti-zionists which has caused them to be called "anti-semites" which is another way they have gotten beat down to 7% representation from 12% just three years a go. So i guess you could call them a market socialist party. 2009 was great, it looked like they could in the future, even take over government, but now after years of media wars, it looks quite bad for the parliamentary left.

SPD? LOL, no they are a neo-liberal party that have made insanely anti-social reforms. I support DIE LINKE party here, it's basically a social-democratic party but has a lot of east german socialists and quite a few communists in it. They would not go out of the euro for instance, they would try to change it from a neo-liberal one to a "social one", that might become possible if Hollande, from the socialist party, wins in France now, and Greece will most likely have a left government or civil war. I'll try to change the junior thing.
