May I ask you what piqued your interest for fascism in the first place? For me it was - of all things - my interest in Hitler. I was never drawn towards his ideas, I was just trying to find some explanation where he got the ideas for his sick ideology. So that naturally led me to Mussolini, because after all Hitler emulated him in many ways - at least in the beginning (and Mussolini resented that, considering Mein Kampf to be an incoherent mess and all).

Just wanted to say I enjoy reading your contributions, particularly the ones concerning the genesis of Italian fascism.

Okay comrade, truce. You stop taking snide swipes at me and I will you. However the idea of what brings a fascists over to the left is an interesting topic of debate. So I shall begin a thread on it in the politics section.

Ah,I see...yeah,I don't understand anyone's ill will towards you since people change and with changing comes a desire to help their cause.I have a rather "extreme" past myself so I can understand about changing ideologies and the mindset that comes with it.

What's this I hear about you having a checkered past? Just curious
