I'd kind of think it's that. I haven't actually looked much into the EU, but from the left I've seen a mix of people who just want it totally abolished and a smaller few who just want it to take a different form entirely. I haven't come to a position on it, but it's pretty rare to see anyone pro-EU these days.

The reason they are for a United States of Europe is that they see it as a move away from nationalism and closer to internationalism. Pan-nationalism is better than nationalism. Most of the people that are against the EU are nationalists. They see the decision to be against the EU as being in favor of British nationalism.

For example, do you think many revolutionaries would be opposed to the creation of a United States of Africa? I don't really have a stance on the issue yet, but just thought I'd give you some food for though. I also don't know of any resources I could point you on the subject, it's just something I've observed from reading the Weekly Worker on occasion.
