Well,at least you abandoned,at least partially,left-communism.The thing is that M-Lism is going trough some tough times here,with a number of members who were banned,and a huge number of members who either simply stopped visiting this site and posting,or are posting less,like me. (I won't leave RevLeft,but i doubt i am going to spend to much time debating about some things.) He's more pro-bureaucracy than Stalin, who criticized the Soviet bureaucracy as being excessive and detrimental to the (meaningless)democratic organs. I don't understand what his beef with Stalin is honestly, probably only that he killed his hero.

MH viciously attacks any notion that workers can have any measure of individual control within the workplace, and that it all must be utterly centralized(I'm a fan of centralization, but to say that workers should have no level of individual autonomy, it almost seems to defeat the point of revolution to begin with) to the degree that there is no control from within the workplace in any meaningful sense.

MH suffers from the opposite of what Bordiga criticized. While many suffer from democratic principles, he suffers from bureaucratic principles.

I could have given a real rebuttal to MH, but I didn't feel like it. I am not afraid to admit that I'm selfish, and that when I don't think the other person is going to get anything from my post, and more importantly, if I don't get anything from the post, then I won't make it. I could have gone on to talk about how geopolitics is basically an exposition of imperialism and that all political and military struggles are essentially to economic ends.

I'm not sure how many orthodox trots share his views, but they're insane. They say that the "economic conditions of socialism existed in the Soviet Union, but the political one did not" but at the same time he literally claims that the Dictatorship of the Proletariat existed, therefore all acts of imperialism done by such regimes as the Soviet Union were in the class interests of the proletariat. It's literally insane. Combine that with his ridiculous slander and insufferable arrogance, I just decided to say "fuck it, I'm out". He's basically like Manic, but worse because he doesn't really have an excuse for his views.

For some reason I'm almost a bit surprised to hear you say that, but I'm glad. I do get the impression that a lot of left communists are really arrogant and completely dismissive of everything and that there is zero redeeming value in theories outside of the canon(you know which theorists I mean).

One thing I like about left communism is it's diverse array of brilliant theorists, but I think there is the beginnings of fossilization of theory into dogma on certain issues. As you may have seen me mention elsewhere, I am a fan of the ICC in some respects but I'm also critical of the fact that more and more, people seem to criticize anything that doesn't bow to the ICC line as "not being left-communist".
