Uf, resources. I can’t help you much here, because all I got is on Croatian. Maybe you should try to Google people like: Nenad Zakošek, Mirjana Kasapović etc. They are political scientists who gave some critics of Croatian transition. Regarding Croatian economy I can only give you some hints. Transition from Yugoslav to Croatian political and economical regime was followed with extreme privatization (half of it is illegal), destruction of industry, extreme neoliberalism (read David Harvey on neoliberalism), reduction of workers rights and war economy and national unity politics which created authoritarian presidential regime which lasted till 2000.
