I worry about the opposite. I consider what would have happened if I had been the premier instead of Josef Stalin. I would not have been able to do all the purging and stuff that he did. And the Nazis would have ended up invading the USSR.

It was a comment Marx made when referring to a failed collaboration with French socialists, people who claimed to be Marxists in their outlook, but rather didn't have a good understanding of the materialist conception of history very much a part of that body of theory he developed. Much like ComradeMan doesn't understand most of what he talks about.

It's interesting. I think Marx was saying- there's more to me than an ideology and also perhaps subtley hinting at not taking things too dogmatically. What do you think?
