That link was very interesting, thanks. I believe that De Leon himself did interact with and give accounts of the various members of the 20th Century Marxist movement, such as Bebel, Kautsky and the like, and this can be seen in a couple of articles in 'The People', probably the 'flashlight' ones if I recall correctly. The SLP did seem to come out in the 'left' of those assemblies as well, and you may be interested in this article. So yes, we're a bit less isolated than we appear, although the SLP did later grow isolated due to their rejection from the Third International, which may have spurred their decline.

I tend to view all parts of the socialist left as helpful in some way. The one's I like the most are Council Communism and Syndicalism. Really it's just I forgot to change out the Council Communist label when I started to identify with Syndicalism. Yes I live in Sherwood

I believe it means that in order for capitalism proper to exist, agricultural productivity needs to be improved to the level that it is possible to support the populations of large towns with a small number of workers, so that the labour force can be transferred from the countryside to urban areas. This seems to be the reasoning beind Il Programma Comunista's arguments that colonial liberation and such was still progressive in the context of sparking improvements in agricultural productivity up until the mid-70's (There was some work on this in the 2008 issue of Internationalist Papers I believe).

And no, I haven't read anything by the JF Tendency.

Make no mistake: The organization of the working class must be both economic and political. The capitalist is organized upon both lines. You must attack him on both.
