He posted saying he had nothing to apologize for and resigned his modship. The BA voted 12-5 in favor of his ban, due to his inability to admit what he did was wrong; personally I abstained from the vote cause I was much too close to the situation.

I also am personally able to not let political differences stem into personal ones; I have varying friends of differing backgrounds among the revolutionary left. Anyways eventually he snapped on me in a thread discussing 'asexuality' and posted a bunch of the stuff I shared in the PYHO thread and told me if I am so miserable all the time, I should go ahead and kill myself already, cause I won't be missed. Anyways I made a thread about it in the mod forum, saying I didn't want an apology since I wouldn't accept it anyways (nor did I want Os banned or demodded), but Ostrinski should assure us that he won't do that to anyone else ever again. My main worry was that there are plenty of people with mental health issues who post on PYHO and plenty of suicidal people and what if that was what sent one of them over the edge (obviously I was not going to let him do that to me, but still).

I mod the websites subforum. And yeah I don't mind you asking as I don't really feel like I handled it a inappropriate way, but yes it was really unexpected and rather unfortunate because asides from this one incident Os was a great mod, a great poster and someone who I had considered a friend at one point. After his recent political shift (orthodox Marxism, more towards Trotskyism) he seemed to grow more and more antagonistic towards me. There is also a AIM chat he was involved in where he had been making comments about me and other users here being 'idiots.' In this sense I could have handled it better, but I responded by confronting him theoretically on the forum, ie: if I'm such an idiot then just discuss things with me politically and it shouldn't be hard to prove me wrong.

That is not the end of the world. I was surprised I even got nominated, let alone modded, when I was eventually masked in. I don't make very many topics either and have become a bit disillusioned with the board as of late and mostly post in non-political or the mod forum. I think the key is just to keep an eye out for stuff and help make decisions in the mod forum. Then again I'm also modding the least active forum, so there is not much for me to do.
