If you agree with our positions, you should join the SWP. Otherwise don't as it'll inevitably stunt your political development. We're Trotskyists of the Cliffite (International Socialist) tradition. We distinguished ourselves over the years by adhering to the theory of State Capitalism to describe so-called 'socialist' countries such as Cuba and the Soviet Union, the theory of Permanent Arms Economy, and so on. But that's the past, we're now also known for our staunch support of national liberation struggles in Palestine and Lebanon, for instance. You can read more of our thoughts and positions at www.socialistworker.co.uk and www.swp.org.uk. We're active in Edinburgh, especially at Edinburgh uni, and we have a solid branch structure there. If it appeals, you should check us out
We are either biggest in California or New York, unsurprisingly. I think we have around 80+ members in each of those states. However, there is currently no active local in California, and the NYers are pretty much all social democrats.
I don't have enough information to judge which leaders of the party are more revolutionary than others. I believe the entire party is on a revolutionary path, and all the leaders are making honest attempts to advance the revolution. Time will tell which ones were correct. I wrote a bit about the debate that's taking place within the UCPN (M) in this thread.
