Yeah, I can understand that completely! Slaughterhouses are horrid, horrid places. People do not realize how bad many other animals have it. I mean we lead animals to be butchered, we even ''gas'' insects that are outside, and we show little regard for the environmental habitats for many creatures in the rain forests, woods and jungles. It makes you wonder how humanity can be so , well, inhumane.

Oh, I am a ovo-lacto-vegetarian, so your journey is harder and you have my respect.

Did anything specifically make you become a vegan? I know many of us turn to vegetarianism due to personal experiences. Me? It just came to me when I was sitting in nature, looking at the lambs and the bees. Before that I had never taken the life of an animal, not even flies, but not eating the meat products of man's inhumanity towards other creatures was truly liberating.

Ah, I am glad that you will be able to celebrate a successful three year mark! It is great to see more socialists who care about the plight of both people and animals.

Me, I have been a vegetarian for about five years now. Can't say I miss meat much, I think it got easier after the year mark.
