Imposter Marxist

I'm trying to get involved with March Forward, I joined IVAW a while ago but nothing came from that, like nobody contacted me or anything. So I joined March Forward, got together with them for the last anti-war demo in DC, and am still working with getting involved with them.

I haven't really called myself an anarchist in a long time, I've almost always referred to myself as a communist. Now I would still say that I am a communist. I have always taken influence from a diverse range of thinkers, so even when I was working with groups like RAAN or other anarchist/autonomist groups I was still influenced by people like Mao and Lenin. Lately though I am more focused on anti-imperialism, which I think anarchists have a weak position on.

Its the old flag of Libya, as used by the Libyan rebels. I don't support UN intervention but I do support the rebels.

Well democratic socialist mainly do not accept the idea that a authoritarian regime needs to be set up to establish socialism. We (I) believe that the economy and society both should be run democratically to meet public needs not to make profits for the rich and few. We do not want to create this all powerful gov bureaucracy but we dont want big business to control societ either, we believe rather that economic and social decisions should be made by those whom they affect. We want to create the work environments controlled by the workers with the use of democracy. This can be done through unions and or worker co ops. We believe that a capitalist society can be "revolutionized" through democratic means rather than violent means. But we do realize that violence must be the last solution to overthrow the capitalist machine, we just favor peaceful/democratic means in the long term.

as much as that stings coming from somebody I've never met, I suppose it's understandable, I've found I don't belong amongst the revleft community anyways, I'm not nearly as prone to bloody revolution and authoritarianism as most other people on this site, I just pop in every now and then to hear what's new in left wing politics, and maybe offer my two cents, don't worry Noth, I'll try and keep my posts to a minimum.
